STEWART, OHIO-Under a full moon in the foothills of beautiful Appalachia, Skyline Speedway provided the perfect backdrop for victory lane, where Morgantown's Andre Layfield stormed from 13th to first in an exciting Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association feature for 410 sprint cars. Chris Carpenter, Parkersburg, WV ousted dad Freddie Carpenter for his eighth win in the AMRA Late Models, Kenny Johnson, Parkersburg, claimed the AMAR Modifieds, Gary Gould claimed the Pure Stocks, Randy Wise the four cylinders, and the dominator Will Holland claimed the Mini-Wedge main. Pre-order Harvest 50 Tickets/Ammended Skyline Schedule
Skyline Closed Aug. 6 and Aug. 13

STEWART, OHIO- Fans can save two different ways for the upcoming Harvest 50 three-day weekend at the historic Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio, September 17-18-19. Weekend passes can save fans and pit crew members an average of ten dollars over single day admission. Three-day passes are $48 for General Admission and a three-day pit pass is $65.
Now, Owner Billy Jarrell has upped the ante with pre-sale tickets that offer another huge savings for fans and entr. If fans purchase pre-pay tickets between August 3 through August 31st tickets will be $40 for General Admission and only $55 for the pits for three-day passes. Advance tickets can be purchased at the gates during the last two August races on Aug. 20 and Aug. 27 or by calling Katie at 304-539-4410 or Billy at 304-542-8322. After August 31 Pre-Pay ticket prices will not be available. Three-day passes will be available, however, ($48/$65) through race day.
Skyline will be closed August 6 and August 13, but will return to action on August 20 with a Four Cylinder Special paying $600 to win and a Mini-Wedge Invite paying $150 to win. General Admission will be $12 or $10 with both July 23 and July 30 Armbands/tickets.
August 27, Skyline will host "Sixties Night" with a reduced admission of $8 with five cans of Food or $12 admission without the food. An affordable package snack of Fries/Hot Dog/Drink will sell for $3.50.
Skyline will be closed September 3, then come back with the track championships tentatively set for September 11 in all classes. The Skyline Champions will be determined this night, even in the 410 sprint division, however, the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association Champion will not be determined until the Oct. 2 and 3 Ohio Valley SCA Sprint Nationals.

STEWART, OHIO-A nice crowd and much excitement highlighted the Jack Shutts Memorial race at Skyline Speedway Friday night where Parkersburg's Chris Carpenter picked up the dramatic win in a field of 34 late models. Veteran Charlie Fisher, Columbus, Ohio picked up his first win in ten years in the 410 Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association main event, while AMRA point leader Kenny Johnson of South Parkersburg claimed the modified win, Jarrod Willis of Stewart claimed the Pure Stocks, Dennis Adkins of Portland, Ohio took the Four Cylinder main.

STEWART, OHIO-It was a typical full-moon night, when the "lunacy" of the lunar illumination made for some crazy action both on and off the track. Skyline Speedway was not spared from the full-moon as a race-long battle between Chris Carpenter, Jeff Burdette, and Chris Garnes in the AMRA Late Models went right down to the wire with Parkersburg's Burdette winning in a wild last lap melee. Chillicothe, Ohio's Josh Davis pulled off the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association main, Andy Bond claimed the AMRA Modified feature, while Ryan Wilson and Tommy Adkins were repeats in the Pure Stocks and Four Cylinder's respectively. STEWART, OHIO-The red-clay at Skyline Speedway was sticky fast thanks to a 4 p.m. downpour that left the pits a quagmire, but the racing surface smooth and nothing less-than spectacular. Against all odds, Billy Jarrell and crew prepped the track to perfection as a stage for the golden runs of Greg Wilson, Benton Ridge, OH in the 410 OVSCA sprint cars and Chris Garnes, Evans, WV in the AMRA Late Models. Late Model Hall of Famer Rick Aukland claimed the AMRA showcase race, while the AMRA late model main went to South Parkersburg's Chris Carpenter over Josh McGuire, and Keith Baxter claimed the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association main in dedication to the injured Danny Smith. STEWART, OHIO-Some things never change. For the past several weeks Evans, WV driver Chris Garnes has been the top dog at Skyline Speedway, winning his third feature of the year Friday night in the AMRA Late Model division at Billy Jarrell's Skyline Speedway. A new addition to victory lane came in the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association 410 sprint main, where Chillicothe, Ohio's Keith Baxter led flag to flag for the win. Marietta's Ryan Wilson claimed the Pure Stocks, Portland's Tommy Adkins took the Four Cylinders, Will Holland the Mini-Wedges, and Scott Perine claimed the Blue Clones.click here for more results

STEWART, OHIO-Coolville, Ohio's Andy Bond aboard the ECH Transport/Rayburn #01 claimed an exciting 40-lap $2000 win in the 3rd annual "Foothills Fury" Late Model invitational at Billy Jarrell's Skyline Speedway Friday night. Kenny Johnson, Mineral Wells, WV claimed his fourth consecutive Malta AMRA Modified main, Ryan Wilson claimed the Pure Stock main, Tommy Adkins took the four cylinders, while Mini-Wedge mains went to Will Holland and Wesley Baker.

"High Flying" is often over-used, but no other term could describe Mid-season Sprint car champion Jimmy Stinson of Vandalia, Ohio at Skyline Speedway Friday Night June 4. Stinson claimed the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association 30-lap main event and $1,500 top prize. Pole-sitter Chris Garnes, Evans, WV claimed the companion 30-lap AMRA Late Model Mid-season Championship in a torrid green-to-checkered run. Kenny Johnson made it three wins in a row with a win in the Malta AMRA Modifieds, Tommy Adkins claimed the Four Cylinders and unbeatable Ryan Wilson took the Pure Stocks.
